Our Commitment

Cudmore's Accessible Cab is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We continually improve the user experience for everyone and apply relevant accessibility standards.

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA, as referenced by the Accessible Canada Act and the Accessibility Act (Nova Scotia / PEI). These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with disabilities.

Measures Taken

• Semantic HTML landmarks (header, main, footer, nav) on every page
• Skip-to-content link available at the top of every page for keyboard users
• All images include descriptive alt text
• Colour contrast meets or exceeds 4.5:1 for normal text (WCAG AA)
• All interactive elements are keyboard-navigable with visible focus indicators
• Modal dialogs include focus trapping and return focus on close
• Decorative icons and emojis are hidden from assistive technologies
• Animations respect the prefers-reduced-motion media query
• Heading hierarchy is logical and consistent across all pages

Known Limitations

While we strive for full WCAG 2.1 AA conformance, the following limitations are currently known and are being addressed:

• Online booking — App-based booking (via Bambi) is not yet available. Until it launches, all bookings are made by phone, which is fully accessible.
• Third-party content — Embedded maps or external links may not fully conform to WCAG 2.1 AA. We have no control over third-party accessibility.
